Bobby Broom Soars into the Mile High

Denver – 02.13.15 – Bobby Broom’s two night stint at DazzleJazz in Denver was welcomed in by the Denver Post’s Bret Saunders earlier this week when he remarked: “[Broom] unravels so many interesting melodic ideas and does it with such finesse you have to wonder why he isn’t better known. It should be worth your time to make his acquaintance at Dazzle…”

JazzWeek38_MyShiningHour_FBAn enthusiastic Denver audience at DazzleJazz made that acquaintance last night as Bobby kicked off two of the four shows playing music from his album, “My Shining Hour,” which was the #38 album of 2014 on the JazzWeek charts, and selections from some of his long list of recordings.

With him in The Bobby Broom Trio for this trip are long-time bassist Dennis Carroll, and making a return to the Trio for this engagement, the great drummer Kobie Watkins.

Broom will be playing TONIGHT in Denver for his final two shows there, at 7p & 9p. at Dazzle Jazz, at 9:30 Lincoln Street.
